Vice President - Lauren Kelly
Hi Gridley FFA my name is Lauren Kelly and I am one of your 2019-2020 chapter Vice Presidents. I am senior at Gridley High School and have been enrolled in FFA for four years now. I am so excited for this year and I hope all of you feel the same! I have had the opportunity, these past few years, to become something bigger than myself and I encourage every member to become more involved and take risk by joining something new, whether it be a new SAE, CDE, or apply for office. I have become more involved in the agriculture community myself by raising market animals for Butte County and Silver Dollar fairs, being a part of the Fruit Tree and Ag Sales CDE teams, attending multiple leadership conferences throughout the years, running for sectional office, and becoming the Butte County Beef Ambassador. I also participate in in other extracurricular such as being a part of the local rugby club and being a member of the school's trap shooting team. I attend multiple community service events as well, including, Relay for Life, Special Olympics, Gridley Moose Lodge Crab Feed, and the Wheeler Ranch Harvest Festival. I cannot stress enough how much I encourage students to become more involved in FFA, it doesn't matter if you play sports or if you are involved in the community. FFA has opened up opportunities for me to find new hobbies and meet new people wherever I go and I want everyone to have the same opportunities I have had within this outstanding organization.
